These crafts are very 3D! But when my daughter squealed with delight, I had to commit! I’ll have you know, both of the The Creation Day 4 crafts have found a place on the Wall of Fame in her bedroom.
I hope your kids enjoy it too!
GOD Created the World: Day 4
On day 4 GOD did lots of sparkling creations! Can you guess what they are?
The sun, moon and stars! GOD made them so that they can give us light on Earth.
God made the sun so that during the day we can have warm and bright light. GOD made the moon and stars to shine at night, so that we can only have some darkness to sleep and lay under the twinkling little stars.
Isn’t that clever hey?
And you know what is even more interesting? GOD did this so that we can also know what time it is, when it is daytime, and when it is nighttime for us to go sleep. Did you know we use the sun to tell the time? The Sun even helps us to know what time of the year it is so that we don’t miss our birthdays! It also helps us to know if it’s summer, autumn, winter or spring! So that we know when it’s time to wear our swimsuit and when to put on our boots to jump in muddy puddles!
Alllll of these; the sun, moon and stars GOD created on Day 4!

All crafts’ methods are above in the video and all FREE templates are below.
Every craft we do is done as a concrete resource to help your child understand abstract concepts. So in the middle of having fun making the crafts, we drive home those abstract concepts (;
Sun, Moon and Stars Crafts
These crafts are aimed at helping to illustrate the two main types of light; Sun and Moon. The moon has a sleepy hat on to illustrate that it comes out at sleep time. The stars are attached to the moon to help illustrate that they are almost like an add-on to the moon and its a all-for-one kind of deal!
Let’s do some learning (:
Remember although our lessons are divided into three themes, there are many times that concepts will overlap the three themes below.
Before I continue, let’s keep in mind that all lessons CAN BE ADJUSTED to the child’s age and cognitive readiness. For me personally, I have toddlers-so that’s the level I focus on. Please enjoy the FREE printable below to help you optimize your child’s learning
Below is the WORD-FOR-WORD Literacy lesson and/or related resources!
This is the third lesson of a Literacy Programme that will teach your TODDLER to read in 20 days
Remember those phonics cut-outs? Now is a nice time to play some Naughts and Crosses, “sss” and “mmm” edition (:
Call me crazy, but I used this time as a perfect opportunity to explain the Earth’s orbit around the sun (annually), the Earth spinning on its axis (daily) and the phases of the moon actually being the Earth’s shadow cast by the sun.
It sounds super intense for a toddler, but my daughter loved it. I used the old soccer ball as the sun and tennis ball as the earth trick.
That’s a wrap!
